I was often being asked this question, “Roy, is it easy to make money online?” I think the question they are asking is, “Can I make Money Online?”

Today, in regardless of who you are, what’s your background, and what’s your educational level… one fact that you must know is that…

Marketing is a skill!

And most importantly, it’s a learn-able skill. Which means, you can learn the skill today. It’s the same as building a business, investment, golf, tennis and etc.

However, the next question that I would always ask is that, “How much time and effort are you willing to put in to learn this new skill?”

Before I jump into that, let me paint you a scenario to help you understand better.

Today, how many years do you need to study to get your degree? You might answer 4 years, 6 years, 10 years, or even 16 years… right?

Depends which country you are in and also since what age do you consider starting to study for your degree? I would say that in order to get your degree, you need at least 16 years.

Isn’t the day that you study grade 1 is to get into college and into university to get a degree? Now, the next question is…

So, how much do you get paid as a fresh grad from university? How about $40,000, $60,000 or even $80,000? Let’s say we take the average of about $50,000?

So, let’s do the maths, today, you spend 16 years of your life, mainly your youth, to earn a annual income of $50,000?

Ok, let’s take a look at making money online…

Back to the question, how much time and effort are you willing to learn this new skill?

If you tell me in 6 months time, you want to make a $100,000, or even $500,000, or even $1,000,000? I would ask you the next question, how much money have you make online?

So, it’s as good as you are telling me that you only starting out at grade 1, and you want to jump to college standard…

Personally, when I decide that I want to learn about internet marketing, I give myself at least 3 – 5 years to learn this skill. And in this 3 – 5 years, I’m looking to make at least $100,000 online.

If you compare the university calculation, 5 years to learn a skill to make $100,000 online makes more sense than studying for 16 years to make $50,000 per year, right?

And with that, it’s more achievable if you give yourself the time and put in lots of effort into it.

Today, a lot of people are seeing the internet as an “Instant Noodle” business. They think that, all they need is “boiling” water and dump the noodles in, and in 2 minutes, your dinner is ready.

Yes! You can try that, but if you truly wants to build a 6 figure or even 7 figure online business, you need to seriously looking into how to learn the skill of marketing.

If not, you can continue to look for “get rich quick” or “instant noodle” business. How I look at it is that “instant noodle” will only give you so little nutrition that your body needs, that if you take it over the long run, it will cause problems to your health. It’s the same for your business!
