Why Do I Say Making Money Online Is Simple?
All you need is 3 things to start building a residual stream of income each and every month. Let’s check out what are the 3 things.
First – Market Research
Second – Traffic, traffic, traffic
Third – Conversion of prospect into customers.
See! Didn’t I told you it’s that simple? It’s only a 3 step process. However, there are many people still “struggling” with it each and everyday. In between each of the 3 steps, there are many processes and strategies that you can apply to increase your profits.
Let make walk you through with a summary of each step:
First – Market Research
There are many teachings about marketing research. Personally, this is what I will do. What you want is to get a general “feel” of the market that you are in. You want to know that it is a profitable market.
There are competitors or already someone making profit in this market. Yes! You heard me right? There are competitors in your market. Unless you are the first movers into the new market, if not, 98% of the time, you will “Need” to see someone profiting from the market. If there’s none, you better “run”. Most of time it would means that it’s not a profitable niche.
Here are the steps:
1) Go to Google.com, type in your market that you want to research.
For example, you want to teach people how to golf better. You might search for, “Improve Golf Swing”
You will definately see a whole list of searches. Check if there’s any paid advertising on the right, that’s Google Adwords. Check out each and every ads to see what are they selling. Note and see how your competitors are selling, and how much they are selling.
2) Next, go to both eBay.com, and Amazon.com. Use the same keyword, “improve golf swing” and search for anyone selling products in eBay.com or Amazon.com. Find out what are they selling in relation to your golf market.
What you want to see is that they are a lot of activities in these 3 sites, Google.com, eBay.com and Amazon.com
3) Go to www.NicheBotClassic.com and do a count search on the keywords, “Golf”. When you type in the search term, “golf”, you will see a list of the search term in MSN, Google and Yahoo. There are 2 things you need to look out for here:
First, you want to know how many searches are there in Golf. Usually, a range from 20,000 – 50,000 would be a good range to target.
Second, you want to look out for what are the common keywords typed in the search. You want to target the “long tail” keywords, keywords that are deeper in your specific niche. For example, for “golf”, you might see “Golf Clubs”, “Golf Country Clubs” and etc, but all these are not what you are targeting.
Whereas, you want to look for keywords like, “Golf Swing”, “Improve Golf Swing”, “How To Improve Golf Swing”.
Personally, I know that a picture speaks a thousands words… now in this information age, a Video speaks a Million words!
