It was so exciting and so much fun. As mentioned in my previous post, I started to learn so much about myself. Most of my friends reaction would be, you are able to read faster now? To me, that’s is only the by-product, the best part of all, is that I understand a lot more about myself and the power of my sub-conscious mind.

In short, PhotoReading, to me, is really a must learn skill for everyone in life. It should be taught in schools, and especially to kids when they are young, so that they can developed their mind. I will definately teach my kids on PhotoReading.

The entire PhotoReading Whole Mind system is only 5 steps:

1) Prepare
2) Preview
3) Photoread
4) Postview
5) Activation

The powerful part is the last part which is the ‘Activation’. And that’s the part that I know that I’m tapping into the power of my sub-conscious mind. Photoread, step 3, is taking in the entire information from the first glance. Activation is finding all the details that you have photoread.

Let me ask you this question. How long does it takes for you to finish a book? 3 days, 5 days or 2 weeks? For me, an average book takes about 5 – 8 days to finish. And to many of my friends, that’s very fast.

But the question is, how much can you recall in the entire book after reading it in 2 weeks? 10%, 30%, 50% or 80% of it?

Personally, I believe, with the skills of knowing how to PhotoRead now, and with practice everyday. I can read a book within 30 mins and comprehend at least key 20% of it, so that I can use it to apply to my life. And most importantly, I know how to ‘file’ it in my mental filing system, and I can retrieve as and when I need it.

Now that’s powerful!

Imagine if you could read a book in 30 mins a day, how many books would you read?

For a start, I would read at least one book per day. After which, I’m looking for at least 3 books a day. So, let’s say, you can read a book a day. In a year, that’s 365 books.

Let’s say, every day you read a book, in a year, you got 300 books, and in 10 years, you have read at least 3,000 books. In 20 years, that’s 6,000 books.

What if, at the same time, you could have a mental ‘filing’ system that’s so simple and easy, and you can start retrieving informations even from the first book that you read, as and when you need it?

Now, that’s what I call the power of the human brain. So, now, to you, do you think it’s possible?

Most importantly, do you think it’s possible for you? Do you think you can do it?

With that, you could either choose to, “See it Before you Believe it”, or “Believe it to see it”

My personal experience with just the first day is overwhelming. It’s exciting and a few unexpected “miracle” happens to me. I was totally blown away by how our brain works!

The entire process was the same if you were to buy Paul Sheele’s PhotoReading Book or Home Study Course. But what makes the entire 2 1/2 days workshop so exciting and valuable is the entire experience and learning. Jean was a great trainer as she guide us through the entire process. Not only that, we learn it in a fun, child-like manner, with games in between. It’s a total opposite from how we learn in school ( which of course why the “failure” in the system )…

Here’s a few quick pointers on what I discovered today…

1) The power of my sub-conscious mind
2) To totally TRUST my sub-conscious mind and flow with it ( how many a times you “fight” with your conscious mind with logic processing )
3) The ability to relax using breathing and “instant switch” into relax mode.
4) Increasing my reading speed by at least 80% just from the first day.
5) Lastly… have you seen or heard about the MagicEye 3D photos? Since the age of 14, I wanted to
learn how to see the 3D image that all my friends can… haha… finally, today, I can DO it! I’m so
excited.

So, this is just a quick post about my learning today. I need to go get some rest for tomorrow and also work on my “Home Play”… which is assignment that I need to prepare for tomorrow.

Some of my friends asking me, “Is it teaching you how to read photos? Or Teaching you how to read photo maps?” Sorry, both are wrong.

For most of the people, like myself initially, thought that it’s speed reading, which means enable you to speed read rather than regular reading.

From what I heard, Photo Reading is many times effective than Speed Reading. Guess I have to try it out for myself to verify.

There are too many books for me to read till I have to find a much faster, and better way to read. No way, I’m going to complete all my books in the next 3 months if I read word by word, page by page. Even if I finish reading the entire book in a week, how much can I remember, recall and most importantly…

… put into action to form into good habits for myself.

So, I was introduced to Photo Reading 2 years ago. The founder is known as Paul Scheele, where he discovered this method in the 80s, and it took the accelerated learning industry by storm. Pete Bissonette, was one of the co-founder, together with Paul Scheele, they started Learning Strategies.

I was honored to meet the Pete last Aug.

So, today’s workshop is by one of the certified PhotoReading coach in Asia. Her name is Jean Giam from Xssion.com. She’s a great friend of mine.

I’m very excited on learning photoreading, imagine I used to finish a book in 5 days or 7 days, now I can finish it in 20 mins and recall 80% of the contents. Now, that’s what I called Smart Learning!
