and I had done 2 out of the 3 consultation!

The first one I’m going to talk about is the very first person who took action right away and snap up the first slot. His name is Wong Chen Dong, creator of www.EmpireDotCom.com

This guy is amazing! I’m really shocked that he have taken up the first slot, and he wants my advice on how to improve his website.

When I first went into his website, I realize he got everything that he have, maybe even more than what I have got in my website, in terms of all the widgets and etc.

Nevertheless, he invested in me, and I start my homework!

You see, even though he invest $100 for 60 minutes of my time, but he got a lot more.

Before I really agree to meet him personally, I would need to do my homework first. I asked for a list of questions he going to ask and I will based on those questions to advice.

I spent about 1 hour to go through his entire website. Because he did not have a laptop and internet connection, so what I did was to print screen and print everything out in papers.

With that, I make circles, comments, and my notes on all the papers. So, in total, I guess I had a total of 10 notes or so.

Then, I spend another maybe 1 hour to travel to the place we agreed on meeting. The entire meeting was really pleasant.

I found a great environment, have drinks and started our conversation. I’ll not get into the details, but however, here’s are a few internet marketing tips I gave him.

** Based on what his website is at now, and where he wants to move to, here’s are the tips:

1) Branding – This is first and foremost if you truly want to build a 6 figure internet business.

2) Increase traffic by at least 50% to even over 100% – He just missed out this one element to get constant traffic everyday to his blog. And that’s how my blog is so popular.

3) Direction – Which direction do you intend to move into? Decide and start taking the first step! He’s on his way.

4) Increase subscriber response rate – How to increase your subscriber response rate by 50% to over 200%?

5) Leverage on your strength – This is something 80% of newbie marketer doesn’t know or do. Most of them focus on their weakness rather than strength. But, do you know your strength? I have pointed that out to Chen Dong during that session.

With that, instead of talking for 1 hour, we end up chatting for almost 2 hours.

And it took me another 1 hour to get back home. So, if you calculate, I took 1 hour to prepare, 2 hours to travel and 2 more hours to advice, a total of 5 hours.

And I only get paid for $100, is it worth it?

You bet it sure does! First, I need to tell you that I do not need to do the consultation. I don’t need the money! Period!

I’m doing because I want to do it and see who are the serious people reading my blog everyday.

And I can even offer free advice! But as I mentioned, there’s just something got to do with Free advice that people do not take it seriously.

Finally, the 5 hours are well-spent. I met up with an upcoming marketing, which I believe he is, I get to know a new friend, and I believe we might be working together on something soon.

Next Wednesday, we will be touching on, What Are Your Internet Marketing Plans?

Most internet marketing experts would have all these 3 component in place when they launched a product, or start their internet business.

During my first year, I knew nothing of this sort, and like everyone else, I just want to see money coming in and just put together a product and started selling it.

Did my product sell? Yes! In fact, it did pretty well, that it’s giving me residual income each and every month. And after 18 months now, it’s still giving me constant sales…

It was only during my 2nd year of marketing, I start to realize I’m using the entire process unconsciously.

Now that I understand this better, it’s giving me a very powerful edge in any market that I’m working on or for my clients.

So, once you define your objective, you can start determine what kinds of internet marketing strategies you want to employ?

Using back the same objective last week, “I want to start making US$300 per month from the internet, using only 2 hours per day of my time, and I will do it in 6 months time, by 21th Nov 2008 ”

So, what are the kinds of marketing strategies you can think of that can give you such a result?

Take a piece of blank paper, by read this post, follow this exercise.

(Do not PRE-Judge what you like or do not like, just write down all the possibilities first)

Here’s some of my examples…

1) Being an affiliate selling other people’s product
2) Developed my own products
3) Start an Adsense website, developed 100 in 3 months
4) Offer my skills, get freelance design project from Elance, Guru and others
5) And many others…

For now, I’ll only stick to 4.

For your first marketing strategy, you can dig further into it. There are many ways to being an affiliate selling other people’s product.

What are those that you can think of?

For that, let’s list some examples of marketing strategies.

1) Start a simple blog and start blogging.
2) Create a landing page, drive traffic, capture leads and being an affiliate
3) Create an account in eBay and focus on eBay traffic
4) Create a Squidoo page to sell affiliate products

See! There are many ways to go about it, what are the ways you want?

And if you want, you can dig another level further into it. If you think this is clear enough, what you want is to go through the entire list again.

After you finished with the entire list, and you know there’s no more other marketing strategies that you know, you can start to select.

The selection process is very important. Like most internet marketing expert, it’s all about knowing yourself and making the choice that you like and suits you.

So, how do you select? You’ll select based on your strengths, your passion and confidence.

Let me explain it further.

What you want is to create a simple table, like this.

(Click on the thumbnail to see clearer picture)

So based on your strategies, put them under main and sub marketing strategies.

Then create a column for Strength, Passion and Confidence. After that, what you want is to give each one a score, as shown.

1 being the lowest, and
10 being the highest score.

Here’s some questions to help you better score them.

Strength:
What are my strengths?
Are my strengths able to help me to complete this task easier?
Who else do I need help from to complete this task?

Passion:
Am I passion about doing this?
If after 6 months and I did not make a single cent from this strategy, will I still be doing it?

Confidence:
How confidence will I follow through for this entire strategy?
Do I have any knowledge or experience on this?
Do I have anyone who I can always count on to ask for advice or help?

Hope these questions will help you to score better for each one.

After you have done the scoring system, add up all the numbers and by then, I’m sure you’ll know the answer yourself in your heart.

If in any case, you have a tied, then it’s totally up to you to choose which one you prefer better.

Most importantly, always remember my internet marketing tip, be Focus! Since this might be your first project or business, focus on one, do it well, learn the ropes, then do more later…

Video marketing works the same as article marketing. Do you just submit an article to just one article directory today? No…

… you would submit articles to as many top article directories as possible right? Then in that case, why would you market differently using video, by just submitting to YouTube?

Marketing is always the effectiveness of getting your message, communication to all your targeted customers, and the more the merrier. So, the next time you wanted to do video marketing, think marketing first! And search for other video directories to submit your video to, to get a wider group of targeted prospects to your website.

Here are some of the video directories that you can submit to:

1) Google Video – Google video is one of the best place for video marketing. Since it’s own by Google, it would definately be easier to rank higher in terms of keywords searches in Google search engine. This website, however, is a pain in the neck for advocates of free-speech. The guys at Google will review your clip to make sure it meets their standards and rules.

2) Eyespot – If you cannot tell the difference between JPEG and FLV, then Eyespot is the perfect video-sharing tool for you. This website is very easy-to-use as it shows you step-by-step how to upload and edit your files.

Not only that, Eyespot’s onsite editing features also let you trim the beginnings and ends of your footage, re-order the timeline and add music to your video. Just click away as you need to.

3) Veoh – This video site is more for pop-star wannabes! Veoh partnered United Talent Agency ( UTA ) to get talent agents to browse through it videos in search of The Next Big Thing.

It’s really simple to use, simply upload your clip onto the site and cross your fingers. Just note the market this video site is on pop-star, America Idol, and talents that sort.

4) iFilm – iFilm is great if you’re bored with working on your marketing of your own products or affiliate products, and want to catch the latest episode of Laguna Beach. iFilm joined forces with MTV to let you watch their latest programmes on the site.

There are dedicated video channels, and they screen random videos from selected genres. For instance, iFilm offers channels for anime and horror films.

Most importantly, you can send the footage directly from your website to Flickr, del.icio.us and MySpace.

5) Revver – Revver is one of video-sharing tool that pays you 20% – 50% of their advertising dollars if people watch your videos. And many YouTube’s top producers have switch to Revver instead, for example, the popular Lonelygirl15 comedy series.

Revver works very much like YouTube, like tagging and rating videos are also key features of the site.

So, next time you are going to submit your video just to YouTube, think again… how much more exposure and target traffic can you drive to your website, by submitting your same video to other video directories.

For the pass year, I knew that the keywords paid by Google on Runescape is very very low, sometime it’s less than 10 cents. So my strategy is to have lots of clicks to increase my earning…

Of course, what I can do is to do what all the adsense expert does… which is to research on high paying keywords. I personally know a friend who can make over S$2,000 in a month in just Adsense alone. So, if you see my results below, I still have lots to learn from him. However, the thing is I do not bet my online business just on adsense alone…

…this test is just to see how can I monetize more from whatever resources that I already have. And so far, it shows pretty good results… take a look at this:

I’m pretty happy of my test that I just took about 8 hours to put together. How do I do it? Simple!

If you go to my Runescape website, you will see that my main page is an optin page to give away 7 Secrets for Free. For the past one year, what I did was to give away the 7 Secrets in PDF which is the common standard for ebook. But I realize and get emails from kids saying that they cannot open the secrets and etc.

This makes me think on how to solve it. And I came up with this idea of converting the 7 secrets all into HTML and uploaded to my website… guess what… I surround and beautify the whole HTML site with adsense for the kids to click.

Once I’m done, what I did is to send a broadcast to all my list, which is over 18,000, for now… and in a day, that’s the results that I got.

If you calculate, for 18,000 of people, to get over 140, it’s not a lot. However, what I’m looking at is having at least 150 clicks per day, and that’s about additional $12 a day in adsense earning, and that’s over $360 in a month and about additional S$500 per month in income.

How’s that income for settling your car payment or home mortgage?

Thanks for coming back to my blog and I would need your opinion for this blog post. As you might know that I’m having a product in the online games, Runescape niche. My target group are kids of about 8 – 16 years old, who love to play Runescape.

The main challenge is that they do not have the buying power to buy my guide, they would need to persuade their parents to do so. With that, not only do my salesletter have to let the kids see the value of my guide, but also to their parents too. You probably know that there’s a lot of ‘scam’ in these online games industry, where marketers just put up a guide and start selling cheap. I personally do not like this model.

With that, I have surround myself with my story and my purpose on creating my own strategy guidebook. I have just finished the salesletter, and wish to hear some honest feedbacks and opinion from you.

So, it would be good to give based on the following:

Over the next week, I’m going to do a testing in one of the simple system used by most marketers. This system, if successful, is going to give me at least US$300 – US$500 profit per day. And this is the number that’s I’m getting excited about. So, what’s the downside of this?

Simple! The downside is that I did not profit from it, and only losing in terms of my time and money. But! I will not look at that way. To me, whatever I do in life, it’s all experiences. Experiences that will be with me for a lifetime. And every experience I go through is preparing me for another greater opportunity or challenges ahead.

Our primary language on earth, English, have a pattern too. When you research all the millions upon millions of books and information online, are you overwhelmed by all the tons of information and knowledge you can receive from it? Before you start ‘freaking’ out and feeling helpless, if you look deeper into it…

They are make up of 26 characters (alphabets)

Think about that?

Stephen and myself love movies. During the stay at Texas, we would have nights where we just chilled out to have movies night, and we would love to watch movies on the HUGE LCD TV with High Definition Blue-Rays DVD. Or if you love art, like Picasso, Leonardo Da Vinci, and many others…
