Do You Think You Worked Hard Enough…?
16 August 2007 2:47 am Personal Development, Roy Daily NewsI wanted to take a break from my hectic work for the time being to write this post. I felt so much on this that I must get this message out and share with you…
A lot of time, we would be thinking that we worked very hard for our life, including myself. I would feel and start to think that, why is life so hard on me? Why do I have to face the computer every minutes and sec of my life? I mean, I literally wake up, wash up, walk to my computer, push the check email button and that starts my day…
and towards at the end of the day, I would check email again before I leave my computer to go to bed. And especially for these few week, working with Stephen on this major launch on the upcoming Millionaire Party next tuesday, myself and my partner only sleep like 4 hours a day or less. And the timing of sleep was like 3am - 7am, and non-stop working for the rest of the 16 - 18 hours…
and with the dateline being only a few days away, stress level builds up, fatigue and not only that, we still have technical problems that we need to solve. And those are problem that can delay the launch and cause big problems for the datelines.
But when I look at this photo, suddenly, my whole perceptive change! Why…?
You might ask, what’s so great about this photo? It’s just a man washing the floor and probably very happy doing that. Before you start putting perceptive on him… let me share with you the story of Joe.
Joe is one of the nicest people I have even met in my trip to the USA. He’s self-employed, like myself and like most of the people out there. The kind of work that Joe does, requires him to wake up very early, be in the hot sun of Texas, sweating, doing labor work. Yes! Joe is in the construction work and also handy-man business. He’s really the BIG Joe that can do anything. Whenever we needed help to fit things, we would ask Joe. And Joe have a really amazing attitude, and would always think of ways to do it.
For example, the party is next tuesday, time is short and everything needs to be done and prepared. We have someone coming tomorrow to work on the front pouch, and we need someone to wash the front pouch. So, the first person we think of is Joe. And Joe have already got work that he needs to do about 40 mins away from here for the day time. He would need to complete that. With that, he says that he would come at 5pm, after work, to work on the front pouch.
So, imagine, after a hard day work, sweating, tired, physically, and all you want is to go home, shower, have dinner and watch TV. Sound familiar?
But, he did not, in order to make more money, he spend another 4 more hours here to work the extra time.
Not only that, check out this photo:
This lady is Joe’s wife. She was working in Stephen’s house, helping to tidy and upkeep the house. Her job would be done for the day at 5pm. However, she went on to join her husband, as he wash, she would wipe the window to make sure there’s no stain on it. I’m sure that you see the ladder beside her, and since the window is big and high, she would have to climb up, wipe, and down and wipe…
… and it’s not ONE window panel, looking at the size of Stephen’s house, it’s a lot of window panel! Oh man, to me, Now, that’s hard work!
As I was taking the photo, I was sitting inside the office, with comfortable chair, table, and of course, working hard on the launch of the project too. But…
… at the same time, I was very thankful! I was thankful for the fact that I have learn the skill of marketing on the internet. After I met Stephen on 26th Mar 2006, it’s truly the “brokest day of the rest of my life”. Life was never the same for me after that day.
At the same time, hear me, I respect of what they do and how much effort and hard work they put in to bring in money to feed their children, maintain the house and have a great future.
And while thinking of them and watching them, I was thinking many of the people I have met online, newbies, who wanting to start making money online… tons of them. For most of the time, I would heard them saying that they are frustrated, they work for many hours, and cannot get it done, and they got this problem and that problem.
Some even told me that they have a full time job, they are so tired after work, how can they work on the internet and make money and etc…
Now, if that’s hard work! Think about what Joe and his wife did… of course, I do not want to disclose how much they earn per hour, it’s an amount that you do not want to know.
I ever ask myself and my wife, “What if I spend 3 years, working on the internet business, everyday, 4 hours every night, and for that 3 years, I do not earn a single cent… BUT, after the 3rd year, I able to bring in US$3000 per month, would that be good enough for us?”
Guess what our answer is?
And that’s before we met Stephen and we never looked back since. We did not need 3 years of our time not making money, we only took 9 months to start having a good residual income for One of my website that I only spend 30 mins maintaining it every month now. Till this day, as I was writing this post, sales still comes into my website, only 30 mins a month.
For one thing I know at the end of the day, I cannot help feeling a deep sense of gratitude and thanks to God and the universe for all the things, opportunity and people I have attracted for so many years of my life. It have all came true, including working with Stephen right now on the launch of the upcoming project.
With that, I wish that through this post, I have inspire to look at things differently and let’s work hard toward our future.
Have a good day,
Roy Phay
